Vanja joined Guardian Trust in 2009 with a background as a financial services lawyer, practising in New Zealand and overseas. Vanja was a Senior Associate with a leading New Zealand law firm and has over 20 years of experience in financial services, including four years with a fund manager. Vanja has extensive experience in securities law and funds management, with a particular interest in KiwiSaver.
Vanja holds a Bachelor of Laws degree with Honours and a Bachelor of Arts degree, both from the University of Auckland. Vanja was an elected Workplace Savings NZ Councillor from 2014 – 2019, serving as Deputy Chair from 2016. Vanja continues her industry focus working with the Financial Services Council and is also a member of the New Zealand Law Society.
